What responsibilities do volunteers have?
Volunteers are assigned to a variety of committees, performing the many tasks required to conduct a PGA TOUR Champions event. A description of each committee will be available for your review prior to your selection of committee choices.
Which days are volunteers needed?
The great majority of volunteer requirements are Friday through Sunday of tournament week. However, there may be some volunteering opportunities before and after the championship. Committee Descriptions include the days each committee operates; these days can be subject to change.
How long can I be expected to work each day? How many days?
Depending on the committee on which you serve, the average shift is 4 to 6 hours long (AM and PM shifts). Some assignments may require longer days. A required three (3) shifts will need to be completed if you would like to play in the volunteer golf outing on the championship course. The volunteer outing dates will be announced shortly after the conclusion of the tournament.
Is there a cost? What do I wear?
Yes, there is a small volunteer fee that covers the cost of your uniform, and a donation to our beneficiary. The tournament will provide a volunteer package that includes a two (2) golf shirts, cap or visor, grounds tickets and volunteer badge. Volunteers will provide their own khaki bottoms.
Volunteers are required to wear the uniform on the days they are working. For juniors and collegiate volunteers, the cost is waived and will be given a championship t-shirt to wear (unless you would like to purchase a uniform package).
When can I sign up?
Volunteer applications are not available at this time. Please check back for volunteer opportunities for the TimberTech Championship.
Where do I get my meals?
Meals will be provided for volunteers in the volunteer tent (specific days) and at the tournament concessions. Each volunteer will receive a meal voucher that they will present to the tournament concessions.
What happens with inclement weather?
Volunteer are to come to their station unless otherwise notified by their committee chairperson. Please bring rain gear in the chance of a rainy day.
Where do I park? Do I have to pay to park?
Volunteer parking is located by the BRIC buildings, where shuttle busses will be running to take you to the course and drop you off at the main entrance next to the volunteer tent. There is no fee for a volunteer to park, please show your volunteer badge, or parking pass to let you through.
When can I pick up my uniform?
Most volunteers will attend one of two general uniform distributions prior to the tournament. You will be notified of these dates closer to the tournament. There will also be a uniform distribution on the Saturday prior to the tournament week.
Can I bring a guest to the volunteer party?
No, the tournament hosts an appreciation party for all of our volunteers to thank them for their time, commitment and support.
Do you still need volunteers?
YES! We love all the volunteers that are willing to come out and see legendary players, meet new people around the community and support a wonderful cause.
